Kentucky coach Mark Stoops has high praise for Georgia

Georgia continued its season of pure domination on Saturday when it smothered Kentucky en route to a 30-13 victory in Athens.

Both teams came into the game undefeated. Though Georgia was a heavy favorite to win the game, completely shutting down the No. 11 ranked team in the nation is still a very impressive accomplishment despite the expectations.

And consider Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops as someone who is very impressed by the Georgia Bulldogs this season, paying them a huge compliment after the meeting:

Stoops echoed the words of almost every other coach who has faced Georgia this season. Each coach’s postgame press conference against the Bulldogs has sounded pretty similar to what you just read above.

And Stoops is right – this does appear to be a down year for college football. Aside from Georgia and Alabama (yes, I’m still including Alabama), who else is there? Iowa State proved it was not as elite as its No. 2 ranking, losing to Purdue.

It’s Georgia, then Alabama, then everyone else. And Alabama is not on the same level as Georgia, but until Georgia proves it can beat the Tide, I’m including them.

“Where can I start other than that is a very good football team, (and) I want to give them the respect they deserve,” Stoops said.
