Kentucky's Lynn Bowden was named SEC Freshman of The Week on Monday coming off his performance in the Wildcats' 40-34 win over Missouri.

The Youngstown, Ohio, native led UK with 128 all-purpose yards against the Tigers. He caught three passes for 49 yards with all three helping set up a scoring drive for the Cats. He also returned three kickoffs for 79 yards, averaging 26.3 yards per return.

This is Bowden’s first SEC honor and UK’s fifth this season.

The Wildcats (5-1) have an open date this week before returning to action at Mississippi State (3-2) on Saturday, Oct. 21.
