Kennedy Todd-Williams named to ACC top wings list

North Carolina women’s basketball guard Kennedy Todd-Williams has received some off-season praise heading into the 2022-2023 season.

UNC is coming off a strong 25-7 season, dancing to NCAA’s sweet 16. Despite the sour 69-61 ending to the eventual champion South Carolina Gamecocks, North Carolina has plenty to build on with high expectations.

Now, to go along with that excitement in the air is a nice confidence boost to Todd-Williams after she was named to Kelly Gramlich’s top five wings in the ACC. Finishing just second to NC States Jakia Brown-Turner, this ranking showcases Todd-Williams’s talents.

The junior from Jacksonville, North Carolina, played a significant role in UNCs success last year, averaging 10.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. Her best game came in the second round of the NCAA tournament when she finished with 19 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, helping UNC beat Arizona 63-45.

Todd-Williams’s role on the team this season is expected to be significant as she will be counted on to help lead UNC to a potential national championship.
