Tennessee basketball player Kennedy Chandler has made the 2021 USA Basketball men’s U19 World Cup Team roster.

Chandler, an incoming freshman for the Volunteers, will now travel with Team USA from Fort Worth, Texas, site of its training camp, to Latvia for the FIBA U19 World Cup.

The FIBA U19 World Cup will be contested July 3-11.

Chandler enrolled at Tennessee and began working out with the Vols earlier this month.

He is one of six incoming freshmen to make the U19 Team.

Chandler joins Patrick Baldwin Jr. (Wisconsin-Milwaukee), Jonathan Davis (Wisconsin), Caleb Furst (Purdue), Chet Holmgren (Gonzaga), Harrison Ingram (Stanford), Jaden Ivey (Purdue), Ryan Kalkbrenner (Creighton), Kenneth Lofton Jr. (Louisiana Tech), Mike Miles (TCU), Adam Miller (LSU) and Peyton Watson (UCLA).

TCU head coach Jamie Dixon is serving in the same capacity for Team USA. His assistants are Stanford head coach Jerod Haase and Yale’s James Jones.
