Recruiting never stops and Kelly Graves has been busy. He was able to land his first recruit in the Class of 2023 as guard Amari Whiting has committed to play for the Ducks.

Whiting is from Burley, Idaho and was considering nearly every school on the west coast, including Arizona, BYU, Stanford, Utah, and UCLA before settling on Oregon.

The 5-foot-10 point guard is already one of the best in the country as she enters her junior season this year. ESPN grades her out like this:

Quick floor-leader with a scorer’s mentality; smooth off the dribble, displays mid-range game with a feathery touch, drains shots beyond the arc; weaves through the defense, finishes plays in traffic.

When she steps foot on the Oregon campus, Te-Hina Paopao will be a senior, and Whiting will have a great mentor going forward.
