Kate Middleton Dazzles in Lavender as Germany Tour Nears Its End

And just like that, in what seems the blink of an eye, our week-long journey with Will, Kate, George, and Charlotte, as they travel through Poland and Germany, has come to an end. Yes, the five-day tour is nearly over, as the royal family makes its final appearances in Germany today before departing for the U.K. later today.
William and Kate began the day with a stop at the Maritime Museum in Hamburg, the morning after last night’s fancy reception at one of the city’s oldest ballrooms. The Duchess of Cambridge teamed with one of her favorite designers, Emilia Wickstead, for a sleek and sophisticated lilac look. (Unrelated, slightly: Kate and William have really perfected their We Are Fascinated by What We’re Looking at in This Museum faces.)
The Daily Mail somewhat slyly notes that Prince George and Princess Charlotte were “nowhere to be seen” today. And it’s true, the young children have been seen only upon their arrival in Poland on Monday, and then again upon their landing in Germany on Wednesday. We were hoping for some full-family photo ops, in the vein of the garden party that took place during the Canada tour. Heck, we would have been content with an outing to take the kids to see Despicable 3 in some German theater if it would have meant a sighting of the four together. (It is possible we will see George and Charlotte again when the family leaves Germany later today.)
Following this morning’s museum visit, Kate and William will head to the Elbphilarmonie Concert Hall for a performance by the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, and then tour an Airbus training facility.
