Plesac yielded four hits, struck out three and walked one. He has a 9.45 ERA this spring.

Karinchak worked one inning. He walked the first batter, then gave up a single, then balked the runners to second and third, respectively. He then got a strikeout for the first out. But the next two batters followed with an RBI groundout and a two-run home run.

Touki Toussaint also gave up three runs in relief.

Cleveland managed eight hits, including a solo home run by Will Brennan. Steven Kwan had two hits and drove in a run. Brayan Rocchio added two hits. The Guardians were 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position.

Shane Bieber is the scheduled starter when the Guardians host the Angels at 4:05 p.m., March 14.
