Kanye West has asked to feature as a guest on Joe Rogan’s hit Spotify podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.

The rapper, producer and presidential hopeful had planned to guest on the series last year, but the episode never came to fruition.

“Spoke with Joe Rogan,” West had tweeted. “Podcast coming soon.” This was followed by reports that the interview had been cancelled.

However, in a recent Tweet (posted on 12 October 2020), West re-affirmed his desire to go on Rogan’s show, which is, according to Rogan, downloaded by over 190 million people per month.

“Would love to go on Joe Rogan’s podcast LIVE this week,” tweeted West.

“I have my team trying to get your number. Joe, I’m in Calabassas. Let’s do this my friend.”

This was accompanied by a clip from Rogan’s show, in which the controversial talk show host is heard describing Kanye.

"That motherf***er is getting like 100 volts...all the time," Rogan said. “He's so much different than everybody else, like Elon Musk.”

Last month, Rogan came out and apologised for using his show to promote a debunked conspiracy theory suggesting that left-wing antifa protesters were responsible for starting the California wildfires.

“I was very irresponsible not looking into it before I repeated it,” he told listeners. “I read one story about a guy getting arrested for lighting fires [which] turned out to be true, but the other s*** I read about people getting arrested for lighting fires in Portland was not true.

“I repeated it without looking into it and it was a really f***ing stupid mistake that won’t happen again. I’m sorry.”
