Jusuf Nurkic imposed his will against Ibaka, Toronto & social media loved it

The Portland Trail Blazers played the second of three scrimmage games Sunday afternoon ahead of the eight seeding games, but were without Damian Lillard.

Sans his point guard, Jusuf Nurkic took it upon himself in the second quarter to lead the Blazers. All it took was a little scuffle with Raptors big Serge Ibaka to ignite his fire.

Social media loved seeing Nurk getting under his opponent's skin, just like old times.

After that altercation, Nurk took over the game, starting with a post up on Ibaka and converting a hook shot. Then, he followed that up with a three-pointer, blocked shot, and multiple rebounds on defense.

Safe to say, Rip City loved what they were seeing.

The Bosnian Beast finished the first half with 10 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks.

Nurkic will play in his first regular-season game in over a calendar year on July 31 at 1:00 p.m. PT against the Memphis Grizzlies here on NBC Sports Northwest.
