Don't expect to see the Bosnian Beast, Tuesday night.

The Trail Blazers announced Monday afternoon that starting center Jusuf Nurkić will miss Tuesday's game in Los Angeles due to right knee inflammation.

Forward Derrick Jones Jr. is probable to return with a right quad contusion which caused him to miss Saturday's 48-point win over Oklahoma City. Zach Collins remains out with a left ankle stress fracture.

Nurkić returned to the lineup after missing two months due to a fractured right wrist, that needed surgery to repair, and a calf strain.

The knee inflammation is on the opposite leg he fractured in 2019 but it is the same leg that dealt with the calf strain earlier this season. That latter injury further delayed his return to the court after his wrist was medically cleared.

Nurkić has been on a minutes restriction since returning to the Trail Blazers, having played between 18 and 21 minutes in all of his recent appearances.

On the season, Nurkić is averaging 9.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. The Blazers are 4-1 in games the Bosnian Beast has played in since his return.

Enes Kanter is expected to start in his place on Tuesday night. Portland tips off against the Clippers at 7:00 p.m. PT on NBC Sports NW, the official home of the Portland Trail Blazers.
