Head coach Marcus Freeman and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees received massive news when former Wake Forest QB Sam Hartman committed to the Fighting Irish.

Over the entirety of his college career, Hartman has thrown for 12,967 yards and 110 touchdowns. Prior to the start of the 2022 season, we weren’t even sure when he would suit up due to a non-football injury but was cleared back in September.

After dealing with injury issues of their own, Notre Dame will have a prolific gunslinger under center for the 2023 campaign. Given how the season finished versus how it started, this should only add to the momentum of the Golden Domers heading into 2023.

But just how prolific of a passer was Hartman over the last two seasons? He ranks among the top three with some heavy hitters just ahead of him.
