‘Just control what you can control,’ says Celtics’ Jayson Tatum of how he copes with trade rumors

Is it really a compliment to hear your name in an NBA trade rumor? Or is it the sort of insult that might have a player rethinking their relationship with their current franchise? While he might not speak for everyone, Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum has some strong feelings and a healthy attitude towards such things.

And in a summer that has seen his teammates getting their names thrown around in countless reports related to a certain Eastern Conference star who shall remain nameless, it’s the right sort of perspective to have if the team wants the focus needed to win a title.

In a recent appearance on the latest episode of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast, the St. Louis native shared his thoughts on how to deal with such rumbles, how he’s been recovering from a long season, his new hydration program at his pro camp and more.
