July video shows Florida's Feleipe Franks, Tyrie Cleveland practicing deep ball similar to game-winner

Florida’s Feleipe Franks and Tyrie Cleveland combined for what will go down as one of the best moments of the 2017 season on Saturday. If you somehow haven’t seen it yet, Franks connected with Cleveland for a 63-yard touchdown with no time left on the clock to beat Tennessee 26-20.

The two, who arrived on campus as heralded recruits in UF’s 2016 class, have practiced a deep ball just like that before.

After the dramatics of Saturday, a video Franks tweeted of his offseason work with Cleveland resurfaced. The official Florida account also sent it out Monday evening. It shows that all of those offseason workouts when nobody else is around really do pay off.

Sure, Saturday’s play didn’t look exactly like the video above, but the two, with Franks’ arm strength and Cleveland’s speed, showed they have good chemistry on the deep ball.

“He’s got a hell of an arm,” Cleveland said after the game of Franks, who chucked the ball about 70 yards. “It was crazy, just making that play. I was just shocked it all happened.”
