Everything is OK, Patriots fans. Julian Edelman is still a New England Patriot. He was just messing around for April Fools.

The receiver took to Twitter with a prank. He posted a GIF from Pirates of the Caribbean. It had the quote: “It’s a pirate’s life for me, savvy.” For 30 minutes, he left it on Twitter for fans to discuss: is he going to join Tom Brady on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Finally, after a half hour, he clarified. It was all a ruse. He was kidding. He’s not going anywhere.
