Julian Edelman to join 'Inside the NFL' panel originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

Julian Edelman recently announced his retirement from football, but he isn't stepping away from the game entirely.

The former New England Patriots wide receiver is set to join Inside the NFL as an analyst this fall. Edelman and his partner at Coast Productions, Asaaf Swissa, reached a deal with ViacomCBS that will involve producing films and shows across several of ViacomCBS' networks.

Coast Productions also produced Edelman's 2019 Showtime documentary, 100%: Julian Edelman.

Edelman will join an Inside the NFL panel that includes James Brown, Phil Simms, Brandon Marshall, and Ray Lewis. When Inside the NFL returns this fall, it will be moved from Showtime to Paramount+.

Edelman announced his retirement from the NFL in an emotional video on April 12. The 34-year-old racked up 620 catches for 6,822 yards and 36 touchdowns during his 12-year career and helped the Patriots to three Super Bowl titles.
