Josh Richards and Jaden Hossler are Taking a Hiatus From the Sway Boys Following Jaden's Arrest
Sway Boys Jaden Hossler and Bryce Hall were arrested last week on charges of drug possession.
Jaden just announced that he is taking a hiatus from the Sway Boys and fellow member Josh Richards will be joining him.
Just a week following his arrest for drug possession, Jaden Hossler has announced that he is taking a hiatus from the TikTok collective the Sway Boys, and fellow member Josh Richards is leaving with him. Both Jaden and Josh announced the news on Twitter on Saturday.
"Hello everyone," Jaden wrote in a tweet. "Please know how grateful I am for you all. Music has saved my life, & I’m sure it has for many of you. With that, I have decided to dedicate my time & efforts to that side of my career. Josh & I have decided to take a hiatus from Sway"
He continued, saying, "We are excited for what’s to come, and thank you all for your support!"

Josh shared a similar message on his timeline, writing, "I would first like to express how important you guys are to me, you’ve all given me so much to be blessed for & a life that I’ve always dreamed of. With that, I have decided to focus on furthering my projects & ventures in the entrepreneurial, music, social media, and artistic...industry. Jaden & I have decided to go on a hiatus from Sway. Love you all, and will always love my sway family."
He continued, writing, "I have a lot of really big announcements coming soon that I’m excited to share with you. I am stoked for what’s to come for @jadenhossler and I."

Josh clarified this in another tweet that while the two are leaving, they will still be working together and producing content for fans.
"Jaden & I will still be creating hard content every day and staying active on all our platforms," he wrote. "Don’t you buds worry, exciting stuff coming soon!"

It's unclear if the hiatus was prompted by the arrest, or if it was something Jaden and Josh have been planning for awhile. There were also rumors that a Sway Girls house was underway, and that both Josh and Jaden's girlfriends were going to be involved in it, so we will have to see how their departure from the Sway Boys effects those plans.
