Will we see Jonathan Bennett’s sexy hair pushed back in the upcoming Mean Girls: The Musical?

We all know Jonathan Bennett as the popular high school student Aaron Samuels from the 2004 classic film Mean Girls, and now that Paramount+ is making a film adaptation of the Tony-nominated Broadway musical based on the movie, many fans are wondering if Bennett will make a special appearance.

At the GLAAD Media Awards in New York, Bennett talked to People about the chance that he might make a special cameo appearance in the upcoming movie musical.

“There's some talks going on about certain things," the 41-year-old Bennett said on the red carpet. "Let's just say that.”

Whether or not Bennett ends up making an appearance, the musical movie is going to have a wonderfully queer cast. A Strange Loop’s Jaquel Spivey is stepping into Daniel Franzese’s legendary shoes as Damien, and two of the other leads are also queer.

Angourie Rice is starring as Cady Heron, but the other two main actresses, Auli’i Cravalho as Janis, and Renée Rapp reprising her Broadway role as Regina George, are both queer in real life, adding even more subtextual gayness to their relationship than already existed in the story.

The movie also stars Bebe Wood, Avantinka Vandanapu, Christopher Briney (as the new Aaron), Jenna Fischer, Busy Phillipps, and Jon Hamm, with Tina Fey and Tim Meadows reprising their roles as Ms. Norbury and Principal Duvall.

A release date hasn’t been announced yet, but when it does, it’ll be fetch!
