John Wall still remembers the electricity of the crowd while playing basketball for his alma mater, the University of Kentucky.
"The atmosphere is unbelievable," Wall said in a new video from WashingtonWizards.com. "I've never seen an atmosphere like it."
While driving alongside campus in the video, Wall recalled "30-40" fans waiting for him after class to get an autograph.
The Wizards guard took advantage of some of the free time he's had due to being sidelined with his Achilles injury to return to his alma mater.
While there, Wall was introduced to the sold-out crowd with a hero's welcome on Kentucky's home court, followed by taking photos with fans and taking in a game courtside.
"Here he is 10 years later," Kentucky Deputy Director of Athletics Dewayne Peevy said. "He comes back in this place and he's got that same gleam in his eye like he really wanted to get on that court today to help us win,"
