John Wall was supposed to be playing in Wizards preseason games right about now, but due to the league's calendar shift because of the coronavirus, he will have to wait several more months before he can return to NBA action from his years-long rehab from a ruptured Achilles.
For now, all he can do is keep training and this week a video emerged of him making all sorts of plays in a pick-up game.
As you watch, it's hard not to envision what this would look like at Capital One Arena:
Wall looks like he's in shape, moving quickly and knocking down shots from all over the floor. Whether he's playing against the best competition, it's tough to tell. But this video should be encouraging for Wizards fans anticipating his return.
Wall hasn't played in an NBA game since December of 2018. When he will make his return is still unclear, as current projections have the 2020-21 season beginning in January.
The wait continues.
