The video features Wizards chairman and CEO Ted Leonsis, Bradley Beal and John Wall, Kevin Durant, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, our own Justin Kutcher and Drew Gooden and the entire Wizards coaching staff.
Durant played for Brooks for seven years in Oklahoma City, Barkley played with him in Philadelphia for two seasons and Brooks was teammates with Ewing in New York in 1997.
Brooks played two seasons at UC Irvine from 1985-87 and averaged 23.8 points his senior year. He went undrafted in the 1987 NBA Draft but caught on with the 76ers in 1988.
He went on to play 10 seasons for six different teams, winning a championship with Hakeem Olajuwon and the Rockets in 1994.
Brooks has a tall task in front of him before he gets to watch his jersey go up in the rafters of the Bren Center. The Wizards will visit the 16-2 Lakers as they continue their west coast trip.
While they're coming off a great win in Phoenix, it'd be an incredible feat for Brooks to lead his young, defensively challenged team to a win over LeBron James and Anthony Davis in Staples Center.
