John Daly's RV hit by car outside Masters

AUGUSTA, Ga. — A car slamming into his RV isn’t going to stop John Daly from signing autographs and selling merchandise.

As is his annual tradition, Daly, the two-time major winner, had his RV parked outside the Hooters on Washington Road, just a few blocks west of Augusta National, where every year he signs autographs, sells his personalized merchandise and tells stories to golf fans in town for the Masters.

Friday, a driver trying to make a U-turn on Washington Road lost control of her car, which slammed into the front of Daly’s RV. Daly told WRDW that his wife had to jump out of the way, and that he twisted his knee trying to avoid any danger.

“Come to Hooters if you want to see a lot of crap going on,” he said.

When later approached by Yahoo Sports, Daly said he didn’t have time to talk.

“I don’t have time,” he said, bending over a table signing an autograph and shuffling through an open cash drawer. “This is our busiest time of day.”

As you can see in the photo below, the front window of Daly’s RV is smashed and the side mirror has been ripped off.
