TORONTO–The Philadelphia 76ers were able to come away with a miraculous 104-101 win over the Toronto Raptors in Game 3 of their Round 1 series on Wednesday thanks to heroics from Joel Embiid.
The big fella had 33 points and 13 rebounds and he drilled a game-winning fadeaway 3-pointer with 0.8 seconds left in order to lift Philadelphia to the win. It was an absolutely herculean performance for the top MVP candidate in the league.
However, it did not come without any drama as Embiid did come out with a soft cast on his right wrist. It did look like he was favoring it the entire game and he discussed afterward that he hurt it in Game 3.
“I don’t know exactly what happened, but I just started feeling pain,” he revealed. “I think I might’ve twisted it so we’re gonna see what’s going on tomorrow (Thursday).”

Embiid and the Sixers have two days off before Game 4 on Saturday where they will look to take care of business and sweep the Raptors. Philadelphia will want to get it done and give the big fella as much time to heal up as possible.
When asked if the injury could keep him out for Game 4, Embiid kept it simple: “No chance.”
