Joel Embiid also held out for Sixers in road matchup with Kings

The Philadelphia 76ers already knew they would be without James Harden who was scratched about an hour and a half before tipoff with the Sacramento Kings on Saturday, but they now will be without their other star as well.

While Harden is out due to what the team is calling injury management for his right foot tendon strain, the Sixers will be without Joel Embiid now due to left foot injury recovery.

He was originally listed as questionable for this matchup with the Kings and the Sixers will now have to find a way to replace Embiid’s ruthless scoring as well as Harden’s playmaking.

To replace Embiid and Harden in the starting lineup, Philadelphia will start Tyrese Maxey and Montrezl Harrell alongside Tobias Harris, De’Anthony Melton, and PJ Tucker. Philadelphia will be looking to sweep the five-game road trip with a win on Saturday.

Tipoff from the Golden 1 Center is set for 10 p.m. EST.
