Philadelphia 76ers star big man Joel Embiid has been having himself a historic season. The big fella has continued to put his stamp on the league in the 2020-21 year in the NBA and he has continued to dominate showing no signs of slowing down.
In Friday’s win over the Los Angeles Clippers, the MVP candidate put up 36 points and 14 rebounds to lead the team to a big win. He shot 10-for-20 from the floor and he was 16-for-18 from the foul line as he was just too much for the Clippers down low.
In the process, Embiid made more Sixers history. He is the first Sixer to score 35+ points in three straight games since Allen Iverson in 2006 and he is also the first Sixer to have at least 36 points and seven rebounds in three straight games since Charles Barkley in 1990.
Embiid and the Sixers will now have two days off before their matchup with Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors on Monday. It will be another tough matchup for the Sixers as they continue through this season.
