Joel Embiid clears concussion protocol, status for Game 3 unchanged
Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid is still working through his way to get back on the court after missing Games 1 and 2 with the Miami Heat due to an orbital feature and a concussion. The Sixers dropped those games without him and as the series shifts to Philadelphia, they are hoping that the big fella can return.
The Sixers got some good news on Friday as Embiid has officially been able to clear concussion protocol. However, he is still listed as out for Game 3 back at home with the hope that his status can change before the 7 p.m. EDT tip on Friday. He is also dealing with the fracture still and a torn ligament in his right thumb.
His status for tonight’s game could change, however

As Philadelphia moves forward, they will have to prepare like they did down in Miami as if Embiid can’t play. If he can return, then great, if not, then they will need others to step up in his place and give the team a big boost in this series.
