Joe Woods knows his days are numbered as defensive coordinator

Joe Woods left his final press conference of the season knowing his feet are on shaky-at-best ground with the Cleveland Browns. Wrapping up his third season as the defensive coordinator in Cleveland, his defenses continue to perform poorly early on before turning it around down the stretch of the season. As walked off the podium today, Woods said to the media, “Hopefully I get to talk to you guys again…”

Something has to change, and head coach Kevin Stefanski likely made that decision weeks ago before the Browns went down their final stretch of games. Between Myles Garrett, Grant Delpit, the cornerbacks room, and more, this Browns team has too much defensive talent to perform as they have under Woods.
