Joe Harris accomplished something vs. Thunder only one other Net has

Joe Harris’s streak of consecutive games with a 3-pointer made came to an end on Wednesday when the guard went 0-for-3 from deep before fouling out against the Atlanta Hawks. His streak wrapped up at 79 games, shattering the previous record of 61 games previously held by D’Angelo Russell.

So, Harris had to start over on Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder — and did he ever. Brooklyn’s sharpshooter knocked down five 3-pointers in his 20-point performance, helping the Nets cruise to a 147-125 win. With his five threes, Harris has now made 51 shots from deep in the month heading into the Nets’ final game of January on Sunday.

Russell is the only other Net in franchise history to ever make 50 or more 3-pointers in a month, having knocked down 52 in January of 2019 — so Harris should at least tie the team record if not break it when Brooklyn visits the Washington Wizards next.
