Joe Burrow’s throw power surprised Tee Higgins

The Cincinnati Bengals hope they have something special over the long-run with the tandem of Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins.

Higgins finally returned to live-action Sunday after battling a small hamstring issue and immediately came away with an important takeaway — Burrow slings the rock with some serious power.

Here’s his quick comment on the matter, per ESPN’s Ben Baby: “The first time he threw a ball, it was a bullet. It shocked me.”

Higgins will have to adapt quickly as A.J. Green still remains out with a hamstring injury of his own. Sunday also saw the return of John Ross, meaning Ross, Higgins and Tyler Boyd figure to get on the field plenty together.

This is an important stretch for Higgins if he’s going to get some notable snaps during the regular season. The first pick of the second round now has a chance to get a strong rapport with Burrow going with just a few weeks left before Week 1.
