Joe Burrow sends message to Bengals fans after the Zac Taylor news

Count Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow among those excited about the team’s future under head coach Zac Taylor.

Burrow put out a message for the masses on his Twitter account Monday:

“Couldn’t be more excited about the future of our organization. We have a great foundation and great people at the top. Look forward to giving the fans what they deserve. Also hopefully that’s the last time I ever have to watch a game on tv”

Early Monday morning, Bengals president Mike Brown put out a statement revealing the team would stick with Taylor as head coach in 2021. There are still going to be a number of changes to the coaching staff, but Taylor will stick in the lead spot.

Burrow’s message is a sign of confidence from the most important player on the roster, though the front office will want to heed that last line closely: “Also hopefully that’s the last time I ever have to watch a game on tv.”

To do so, the Bengals will need to have an aggressive trip to free agency and the draft to address the offensive line, especially with starting center Trey Hopkins suffering a torn ACL over the weekend.
