Joe Burrow provided Tom Brady-like bump to Bengals’ social media
It turns out Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is good for social media accounts.
The above is a sarcastic, of course. But it’s still fun to see the numbers in action, as Burrow apparently gave Bengals social media accounts a similar boost to what Tom Brady’s arrival did for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a few years ago.
According to Greg Auman of Fox Sports, Brady’s arrival in Tampa Bay bumped the Bucs to 1.28 million followers, a 60 percent jump. Burrow boosted the Bengals a staggering 73 percent to 1.4 million over the last three years.
It should go without saying, but the excellent work by the folks on the Bengals social media team plays a huge role, too. But this is just another area where the so-called Burrow Bump is very real.
