Joc takes funny jab at Dodgers fans ahead of All-Star Game originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

For the second time in his career, Joc Pederson is an All-Star.

Once an All-Star for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2015, Pederson's follow-up trip to the Midsummer Classic will come in a Giants uniform at Dodger Stadium.

Pederson has been booed by Dodgers fans since departing in 2021. But he's expecting a bit of relief this week while representing the National League.

"I guess it’ll be nice to be in that stadium and not get booed," Pederson told the "Summer Sunday" crew following the Giants' 9-5 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday.

But not for long. San Francisco, riding a three-game winning streak into the All-Star break, opens the second half of the season with a critical four-game series against Los Angeles on Thursday.

"About three days later, they’ll probably switch it up and start booing me again. It’s all good, I get it."

The Giants slugger spent the first seven seasons of his big league career in Los Angeles before departing last season. Pederson helped the Atlanta Braves end the Dodgers' 2021 season in the NLCS and went on to sign with arch rival San Francisco in the offseason.

As expected, Pederson isn't in good standing with the Dodger faithful. But he's still looking forward to taking in the festivities.

"Definitely looking to soak in the moment with my family," Pederson said. "[Looking forward] to be able to step back and enjoy, celebrate a little bit on a good first half."
