Jimmies women's hockey dominate in 10-3 win over Colorado St
Nov. 6—FORT COLLINS, Co. — The University of Jamestown got its biggest blowout win in program history in a 10-3 win on the road at Colorado State University on Sunday, Nov. 6, at the Edora Pool and Ice Center.
The Jimmies(5-8) opened the scoring early in the first period on a goal by Emma Strouse before the Rams' Gabby Demorat scored to make it 1-0. The Jimmies would add three more in the period to go into the first intermission up 4-1. It didn't take long in the second for the Jimmies to add on as early in the period, Bethany Wielgosh scored to make it 5-1. After the Rams (8-3) scored to make it 5-2. However, 10 seconds later, the Jimmies' Annika Braun scored to make it 6-3. Later in the period, Crystal Wale scored to go up 7-3, off a feed from Wielgosh.
The Jimmies added three more in the third period including two from Wielgosh to finish off her hat trick and give the Jimmies the 10-3 win.
In the net, the Jimmies' Bailey Lindsay made 18 saves on 21 shots for her first career win.
The Jimmies are back in action at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, when they go to Dakota College at Bottineau.
