Jimmies men's wrestling loses at Concordia (Minn.)

Feb. 1—MOORHEAD, Minn. — The University of Jamestown men's wrestling team lost 33-13 to Concordia College (Minn.) on Thursday, Feb. 1, at the Cobbers' Memorial Auditorium.

The Jimmies' Elijah Barajas opened the dual with a major decision win over the Cobbers' Jeison Ingram to take a 4-0 lead. The Jimmies kept it up in the next match as Isaiah Miller got a tech fall win over the Cobbers' Owen Bertram to push the lead out to 9-0. The Cobbers got on the board in the 141-pound match as Gabe Bellefeuille got a pin win over the Jimmies' Pedro Corona to cut the deficit to 9-6.

That started a five-match winning streak for the Cobbers as they took a 24-9 lead. The run was ended by the Jimmies' Diante Taylor as he got a major decision win by the Cobbers' Nathaniel Kisgen to cut the deficit to 24-13. The Cobbers finished the match on a two match winning streak to get the win.

The Jimmies return to the mat at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4, when they go to the University of Mary.
