Jimmies men's wrestling beats Northwestern 29-21

Jan. 27—ORANGE CITY, Iowa. — The University of Jamestown men's wrestling team went on the road to Northwestern University and got a 29-21 win at the Red Raiders' Butlman Center.

The Jimmies started the day with a win from Elijah Barajas to take a 4-0 lead. The Jimmies kept it up from there winning the next four matches in a row to push the lead out to 26-0. The run was ended in the 165-pound weight class as the Red Raiders' Devin Padilla got a pinfall win over the Jimmies' Jahn Williams. That started a run from the Red Raiders that saw them cut the deficit to 26-21 heading into the final match. During the final match, the Jimmies' Chance Robinson got a 7-2 decision win over the Red Raiders' Jaxson Hildebrand to give his team the 29-21 win.

The Jimmies will be participating in two separate events on Saturday, Jan. 27. They are participating in the Tyler Pummer Open at 10 a.m. and the GPAC Duals starting at 12:30 p.m.
