Jimmies men's wrestling beat Dickinson 29-16

Jan. 30—DICKINSON, N.D. — The University of Jamestown men's wrestling team went on a five-match winning streak and that was enough to see them get a 29-16 win over Dickinson State University on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at the Blue Hawks' Scott Gymnasium.

The Blue Hawks' Jose Gonzalez started the dual off with a major decision win over the Jimmies' Elijah Barajas to take a 4-0 lead. The Jimmies' Isaiah Miller got his team on the board with a technical fall win over the Blue Hawks' Wyatt Engwicht to push the Jimmies in front 5-4. The Jimmies followed that up with four wins in a row to take a 23-4 lead.

The Blue Hawks' Tate Norby got a forfeit win to cut the deficit to 23-10. That started a four-match winning streak for the Blue Hawks as they cut the deficit to 23-16. The Jimmies' Chance Robinson ended the Blue Hawks run with a pinfall win over the Blue Hawks' Connor Bleymeyer to give his team the 29-16 win.

The Jimmies are back in action at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, when they go to Concordia University (MN.)
