Jets GM Joe Douglas and head coach Robert Saleh wrap up the third and final day of the NFL Draft | Jets News Conference
New York Jets GM Joe Douglas and head coach Robert Saleh wrap up day three of the NFL Draft, which saw them swing a deal with the rival New England Patriots, adding an additional 6th round pick. They selected Pittsburgh offensive tackle and New Jersey native Carter Warren in the fourth round and another Pitt Panther, Brooklyn-born running back Israel Abanikanda and LB Zaire Barnes were chosen in round five. Versatile LSU defensive back Jarrick Bernard-Converse was the choice in the sixth round but Douglas was not done wheeling and dealing, getting back into the seventh round to select tight end Zack Kuntz of Old Dominion. Douglas called Kuntz an "athletic freak" who suffered a knee injury in 2022.
