After Jets running back La’Mical Perine tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, the team also held out six other players from practice as they conducted contact tracing.

But head coach Adam Gase said on Thursday that, while CB Bless Austin will once again sit out practice, Perine is the only player who has tested positive.

Austin was held out of practice Wednesday along with T Chuma Edoga, DL John Franklin-Myers, CB Bryce Hall, LB Neville Hewitt and S Marcus Maye.

"After yesterday's practice, we had all those guys on the injury report missing practice,” Gase said. “It was just a procedure that we had to go through with the league to make sure we were being careful with guys in the building as we went through contact tracing. But all those guys should be back today.”

Gase said that Austin “isn’t feeling too good” at the moment, but has continued to test negative and he’ll be held out of practice more as a precautionary measure.
