For the past two offseasons, rumors about the Seahawks potentially moving Russell Wilson have surfaced. Well, let's go ahead and make it three.

According to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, "enterprising executives" are making calls to Seattle to see if they can spark any trade talks for the signal caller. Why is that the case? "Russell Wilson's camp has grown frustrated by the Seahawks inability to protect the 8 time Pro Bowler," per La Canfora.

Wilson has made it clear that he wants to be more involved with decisions made by the front office. And La Canfora is sure that the Seahawks' front office has received calls about its star QB.

"I definitely believe they've gotten calls," he said on The Dan Patrick Show.

If Deshaun Watson trade rumors weren't enough, here's another quarterback who has all the qualities any team would want from their quarterback. Wilson is a perennial star in the league, and has double-digit wins written all over him each time he steps on the field to start a campaign.

But as The News Tribune's (Seattle) Gregg Bell states, "this situation warrants serious skepticism."

Bell believes this could be Wilson's agent, Mark Rodgers, drumming up some talk as a potential contract situation looms down the road. Wilson will be an unrestricted free agent after the 2023 season, and though the Seahawks would most likely never even think about it, there is an opt-out in his deal after this season.

So let’s just chalk this one up as a situation to watch at the moment, with a Watson trade more imminent than a Wilson one. Watson has at least made it public he is frustrated, while Wilson hasn’t said anything of the sort. And Wilson is much older than Watson, so a trade for the latter would be better for the Jets anyway.

Still, we will watch how this latest Wilson rumor unfolds.
