The Jets have activated La’Mical Perine off of injured reserve in advance of Sunday’s game against the Browns, the team announced Saturday.

Perine suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Jets’ Week 11 game against the Chargers and has been on IR ever since. He’s rushed 55 times for 202 yards and two touchdowns, while adding 10 catches out of the backfield for another 49 yards.

Perine will join re-join Frank Gore in the backfield, whose 173 carries are the most he’s had in a season since 2017.

In addition, the team elevated linebackers Brady Sheldon, Sharif Finch and Noah Dawkins from the practice squad.

Sheldon appeared in two games for the Raiders in 2017 and one for the Bengals last year, but has yet to suit up for the Jets this season. Finch made his Jets debut in last week’s game against the Rams and saw 14 special teams snaps, while Dawkins has played exclusively on special teams since Week 13.
