"This has been a very different experience to my first two births... much more humbling, terrifying and out of my control."

"We are currently in the neo natal unit but he’s a strong boy and it’s the safest place for him right now."

She went on to describe the moment her son was wheeled away to the neonatal unit shortly after being born as "one of the hardest moments of my life" and sent "love and respect" to mothers who had experienced the same.

The couple are already parents to son Donnie, six, and daughter Margot, four.

Cave has previously spoken about the unconventional start to their relationship after she found she was pregnant with their first child after a one night stand.
