Jerry Jeudy released on bond following domestic dispute with mother of his child

Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy was released on bond Friday following an arrest Thursday evening. Jeudy was arrested and charged with criminal tampering with a domestic violence enhancer after a domestic dispute with the mother of his child.

Jeudy spent Thursday night in jail. Domestic violence cases in Colorado require an appearance in front of a judge before a suspect can be released. Jeudy made that appearance Friday morning.

The victim appeared in court and explained she did not want Jeudy to be arrested.

Jeudy is allowed to have contact with the victim after being released.

Jeudy will appear in court again May 31.

Jeudy was arrested after reportedly locking a wallet, car seat and child-related documents in a car. Jeudy would not allow the victim access to those items. Jeudy was reportedly upset because the woman allegedly took one of Jeudy's three phones and would not give it back.

The victim said she called 911 to monitor the situation, not to get Jeudy arrested. Arapahoe County Sheriff Tyler Brown said Tuesday there was "no physical contact" between Jeudy and the victim. The "domestic violence enhancer" was added to the charges because Jeudy has a child with the woman, per Brown.
