Jermaine Waller has a top seven that includes Virginia Tech

Gaithersburg (Md.) Avalon School 2018 defensive back Jermaine Waller has narrowed to seven schools, and Virginia Tech is one.

The three-star also includes Connecticut, Maryland, NC State, Rutgers, Temple, and Virginia on his favorites list. The Hokies are considered his favorite, though at this time it appears the coaching staff would rather he wait out a commitment until they see where things shake out with higher-regarded players on their board. He plans to visit Blacksburg later this month, which could demonstrate enough desire on his end that the coaches would warm up to accepting a commitment.

The 6-2, 180-pound Waller is the No. 59 cornerback nationally and No. 16 rising senior in Maryland, and was offered by the Hokies when they participated in a satellite camp hosted by Howard University.
