Showing off her ballot drop, Jennifer Aniston is encouraging her fans to vote.
Captioning pictures of herself wearing a face mask and dropping her ballot into a verified collection box, Aniston said she voted early for Joe Biden and his vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris, because "this country is more divided than ever."
"Right now, a few men in power are deciding what women can and can’t do with their own bodies," she continued. "Our current President has decided that racism is a non-issue. He has repeatedly and publicly ignored science... too many people have died."
Aniston also urged her followers to "really consider" those who will be "most affected" by the outcome of the election.
"Your daughters, the LGBTQ+ community, our Black brothers and sisters, the elderly with health conditions, and your future kids and grandkids (who will be tasked with saving a planet that our leadership refuses to believe is hurting)," she added. "This whole thing isn’t about one candidate or one single issue, it’s about the future of this country and of the world. Vote for equal human rights, for love, and for decency."
The actress capped off her message with a pointed postscript.
"PS - It’s not funny to vote for Kanye," she wrote. "I don’t know how else to say it. Please be responsible."
On July 4, West announced his intention to run for president in a tweet, later saying he was running as a member of the "Birthday Party." The musician elicited worries about his mental health after holding a campaign rally in North Charleston, South Carolina, where he shouted without a microphone, cried and offered deeply personal statements about his wife and family.
Later, his wife Kim Kardashian West put out a statement calling for "compassion and empathy" for her husband.
"He is a brilliant but complicated person who on top of the pressures of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother, and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bi-polar disorder," she wrote. "Those who are close with Kanye know his heart and understand his words some times do not align with his intentions."
According to Buzzfeed News, West is only on the ballot in 11 states, making it mathematically impossible for him to earn enough votes to become the next president of the United States.
