It’s a sad, familiar tale: Hollywood couples calling it quits. And 2018’s been especially tough on love. Grab a tissue because there are plenty of famous faces who ended their relationships this year.
After her high-profile divorce from Brad Pitt in 2005, we were all rooting for Jennifer Aniston to find love again — and she did, with Justin Theroux. But the two broke our hearts in February when they announced that their nearly three-year marriage was over. “We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple,” they said in a joint statement.
Fans were quick to observe that it meant Aniston and Pitt were single at the same time. Cue the rumor mill.
Post-split Aniston has been leaning on her bestie and Friends co-star Courteney Cox. The two made a red carpet appearance together last week at the American Film Institute’s 46th Life Achievement Award Gala in honor of George Clooney.
Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan shocked everyone who had been following their seemingly picture-perfect romance. The pair met on the set of the 2006 movie Step Up, and love quickly blossomed for the genetically blessed duo. Then, after almost nine years of marriage, the sweethearts split in April. In a joint statement they said, “We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. Love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now.”
Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett and her husband, Hank Baskett, also decided to file for divorce. The Kendra on Top star confirmed the breakup news on Instagram in April, revealing that after nearly nine years, the marriage was over. “Today is the last day of my marriage to this beautiful man. I will forever love Hank and be open but for now we have chosen to go our own ways,” she captioned a photo.
Today is the last day of my marriage to this beautiful man. I will forever love Hank and be open but for now we have chosen to go our own ways. I’m beyond sad and heartbroken because i did believe in forever, that’s why i said yes but unfortunately too much fear has gotten in the way. We are both amazing parents and our kids will be happy n never know the difference other than seeing mama smile. Sometimes love looks funny. We are told to make sacrifices in life if it’s true love well in this case it’s me. I want to see happy Hank again… i miss that. Marriage was just a piece of paper and a piece of jewelry but our hearts will always be real. U will prob see us together a lot but it’s because there’s no hate. Love wins in this case it’s just looks a little funny. Thank you Hank for a beautiful 8 years of marriage and 2 beautiful kids. I feel so thankful and blessed. ❤️

The pair wed in 2009. Their marriage was rocked by scandal in 2014 when Hank allegedly had an affair with a transgender model while Kendra was eight months pregnant.
The great @michaelsheen & I consciously uncoupled over Christmas. I mean, not “over Christmas” – like that wasn’t the fight that ended it. No fight. We just live in different countries & it got hard. Felt we should just tell y’all so u stop askin, “How’s Michael/How’s Sarah?”
