Cornerback Jeff Okudah gets the top nod for the Detroit Lions as the player most likely to break out in 2021. He was the Lions’ selection in Bleacher Report’s projection for the top breakout player candidates for each NFL team.

It might seem obvious to choose the No. 3 player in the 2020 NFL Draft to jump up in his second season, but Okudah is strangely under the radar of a lot of Lions fans whose heads are spinning with massive needs at other positions. But it’s the smartest choice for Detroit’s breakout candidate.

New defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn spent 15 years as an NFL cornerback. He should know exactly how to handle Okudah and maximize his capabilities.
