Jazz put Clippers on ropes again with 2-0 series lead thanks to another huge Donovan Mitchell game

The Utah Jazz finished with a 117-111 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday at Vivint Smart Home Arena to take a 2-0 series lead.

After trailing by as many as 21 points, the Clippers trimmed the Jazz’s lead to 104-103 with 5:34 left. But then the Jazz closed the game with an 13-8 run.

The Jazz featured Donovan Mitchell (37 points), Jordan Clarkson (24), Joe Ingles (19), Bojan Bogdanovic (16) and Rudy Gobert (12) in double digits. The Clippers leaned on Reggie Jackson (29), Kawhi Leonard (27) and Paul George (21).

The Clippers overcame a 2-0 series deficit against the Dallas Mavericks in the first round. But no team in NBA history has won multiple series in the same postseason after trailing 2-0.

Game 3 is Saturday in Los Angeles at Staples Center.
