Tatum posts Kobe tribute on anniversary of NBA legend's death originally appeared on NBC Sports Boston

Tuesday was a day of reflection and sadness in the NBA world and beyond as it marked the one-year anniversary of Kobe Bryant's tragic death.

The Los Angeles Lakers legend and eight others, including his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, were killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, Calif. One year later, many took to social media to pay their respects to Bryant and those who lost their lives on Jan. 26, 2020.

Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum took to Instagram to honor Bryant and his family. See the photos below, via Chris Grenham of Forbes:

Bryant was both Tatum's childhood idol and mentor. The two shared a special bond in the beginning of Tatum's NBA career, with Bryant even working out with Tatum in 2018.

Bryant was 41 years old.
