Auburn Tigers freshman running back JaTarvious Whitlow turned some heads during Saturday’s performance against Alabama State. Whitlow, who goes by “Boobee,” picked up 122 yards on 14 carries during the 63-9 win.

Unfortunately, Whitlow also fumbled. And it wasn’t his coaches who were the most upset about that development, it was his mother.

Whitlow’s mom made him do 50 pushups for fumbling during the game. She made sure to record the entire exchange.

In front of teammates, fans and other family members, Whitlow got down and did 50 pushups. Once the pushups were done, Whitlow’s mom told him he had a good game.

Whitlow has gotten off to a solid start with the Tigers this season. In two games, he’s picked up 150 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.

If he can hold onto the ball, he could work his way into a bigger role. Not only that, but he can avoid the embarrassment of doing pushups in front of a large group of people right after a game as well.
