- Since Memphis' March 3 loss in Denver, the game before Ja Morant left the team to address off court issues and serve an eight game suspension, Jaren Jackson Jr. has supplemented consistent defense with much improved offense. In the eight games that Morant missed, Jackson averaged 22.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.0 steals, 2.0 blocks, and 1.9 3-pointers in 31.9 minutes shooting 49.6% from the field and 76.5% from the foul line.

After losing their first two games without Morant, the Grizzlies have won five of six with Jackson's improved offensive production being a major factor. His fantasy value has remained high with the Defensive Player of the Year candidate being a top 15 player in 9-cat formats for the season. With Morant likely returning to action sometime in the next week after ramping up his conditioning, the key for Memphis will be to ensure that his return doesn't negatively impact Jackson's progress on the offensive end of the floor.
