Jared Goff earns NFLPA Community MVP for helping feed 500 families

Congratulations are in order for Lions quarterback Jared Goff, who was named the NFLPA’s Community MVP in Week 5.

Goff earned the award for distributing over 40,000 pounds of food at a local Detroit-area food bank. The charitable act helped feed some 500 needy families.

It’s not the first time Goff has given back in a big way. During his time with the Rams, the quarterback donated and helped raise funds for Californians displaced by wildfires and those impacted by a mass shooting.

The honor will allow Goff to do even more. For being named Community MVP, the NFLPA will make a $10,000 donation to the player’s foundation or charity of choice so that they can continue to make a difference.
